I\'m finishing shooting a documentary on a man named Ralph Morse.
Ralph Morse photographed for LIFE magazine for 44 years. Ralph either photographed or befriended some of the biggest, and most fascinating, people of the 20th century: President Harry Truman, Winston Churchill, General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Alfred Eisenstadt, Count Basie, John Glenn, Alan Shepard, Jackie Robinson, Neil Armstrong, Dr. William DeBakey, Babe Ruth, Margaret Bourke-White, George Bernard Shaw, Robert and Cornell Capa, Jimmy Durante, Walter Cronkite, Gus Grissom, Wally Schirra, Scott Carpenter, Bing Crosby, Harpo Marx, Princess Grace, Deke Slayton, Gordo Cooper, Harry Belafonte, Hank Aaron, Ernie Kovacs, General George Patton, Ed Sullivan, Eartha Kitt, Gene Kelly, Admiral Chester Nimitz and a pompous Hermann Goring on trial for his life at the Nuremberg War Trials.
In addition to the historical value of his World War II and space photography, Ralph was one of the pioneers of using a long lens to cover sports and also has an extensive collection of Broadway stage show photographs from the 1940s and 1950s.
This film will be two hours and contracts are being drawn next week with WXEL, a PBS affiliate here in South Florida. I\'m looking for a composer to create music to fit the film using swing and big band type music to fit the period of the story.
I\'m doing this on my own with no budget, but everyone involded has a contract and a share of the profits. I will also discuss the composer keeping his or her own copyrights as long as I can use the music for as much promotion and marketing as I need to do. The composer will also get proper credit before and after the film and all written materials.
Thank you for your time.
